Tenants of the campaign:
Create solutions concerning the Detroit Police Department that improve the overall efficiency of the police department.
Establish effective solutions that target the backlog of citizen complaints in an effort to address concerns for past, present, and future residents.
Enhance both the mental and physical wellbeing of DPD officers to produce and fortify citizen’s feelings of safety.
Fully engage in commission meetings to set a positive example for District 5 and Detroiters while addressing relevant issues with the Board of Police Commissioners.
Develop strategies to enhance the relationship between the Board of Police Commissioners and the Detroit Police Department by utilizing the provisions outlined in the Detroit City Charter.
Publish both dissenting and concurring opinions to strengthen the connection between the community and the decisions made by the Board of Police Commissioners.

Teron Haynes
Teron Haynes was born and raised in the St. Louis metro-east area. Haynes attended Methodist University and received a bachelors of science degree in Applied Forensic Science and Justice Studies. This education, along with his job experience, imbued a strong investigative and ratiocinate skillset.
Teron Haynes is an established public servant with almost a decade of service. Haynes served in both the United States Army and for the Detroit Police Department within a civilian capacity. He currently is employed as Forensic Technician/Crime Scene Investigator for the City of Detroit, assisting in processing and solving some of the cities most important crimes.
Teron Haynes is a loving father of one daughter and friend to many. His hobbies include playing chess (at an extremely amateur level), playing soccer, reading, watching lectures, and community organization. While Haynes is a newer Detroit resident, he moved to the city specifically to join the community and be a part of the cities progression.
